  skymarket

Anyone here had any experience with skymarket.co.uk as a host?

Web Perf results look good and seemed quite bright on the phone, but wondered if anyone had any first-hand.

Never heard of them, but from their web site they do seem more of an ISP from their broadband offerings. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hear of them?

Don't mind at all:

Did look at beamhost as well, but your packages were not right for the project I am currently trying to find a home for. You're bookmarked though.

Just wish they'd let me have a couple more dedicated servers to play with :¬/

Skymarket are very good web host (imo)

Hi,

I've used Skymarket for several years and think they're
excellent - very fast UK host. They offer good telephone
support, too.

However, Skymarket lacks decent tools so you can monitor your
domains, easily set up autoresponders and other such
stuff. But these admin tools are slowly being introduced.

(The Skymarket site has just been redesigned - looks
very professional now, whereas before it was something
some techie knocked up: really didn't sell their services
very well!)

Steve

PS No, I don't work for 'em! Also use Supanames and Titan Internet

Cheers Steve,

Tools don't bother me much, as I usually end up installing a whole suite of stuff that I have been collecting together over the years anyway. Just wanted to hear something firsthand, so thanks!
