Adult hosting

Hi,

I'm brand new to all this and I'm about to launch a site with some adult links on it. I've been told that it's best to host adult content in the US for legal resons but I am a little concerned as to support/hand holding issues etc.

I do not intend to have any illegal content on my site itself, in fact it will be fairly mild but I want to safeguard myself in case an affiliate program falls foul of the law.

If anyone knows of any legal issues I should be aware of I'd love to hear from you.
I know there was a problem recently with some Adult DVD affiliates being taken to court and I'd hate to fall into a trap like that.
