My uniformed belief is that as long as it isn't a trademark you shouldn't have any trouble at all.
I've just registered a rather tasty domain .com, then I went to register the .co.uk, and found it had already been registered, and, it has an espotting/overture type site on it.
My question is, if I put a directory/portal site on the .com, does the owner of the .co.uk have any justification in complaining, or worse, any legal rights?
Thanks
Tony

fraid my attitude is if they are dumb nuff to reg the .co.uk and not the .com then they can't come whingin if you buy the .com and set up a gay porn site on it..
not that anyone would of course.. errm ..
What you say makes absolute sense D-Mac.
Shane, thats what I was thinking (except the gay porn bit, though theres a thought when christmas is out of the way)![]()
Cheers
Tony
