  domain help needed please

I have just bought a domain name through Yahoo Small Business hosting. I set up unmasked forwarding to my website which is also hosted with yahoo, and linked to it with some indexed pages. I was surprised that google indexed the url the same day!

My query is, will google crawl the url and take content and meta tags from the destination site? If not, is there a way to get them to do it? One option is to upgrade to the small business hosting package for this domain, but that costs a monthly fee and could prove costly if you had to do this for every domain. Yahoo don't offer anything except a holding page with their advertising on it unless you upgrade.

Thanks for any advice.

When you use web forwarding, Google can index your site. However, in its listings, Google is likely to display the forwarded url, and not your domain name, i.e.

http://www.yourwebhosting.co.uk/yourfoldername/

Sometimes you will have an advanced domain name configuration option where you can specify your own DNS settings (set up on a third party service suce as zoneedit.com) so that you don't need web forwarding. This means when you visit your site, your actual domain name will remain displayed in the address bar when you click through your pages. Only problem with this is you have to set up your own mailserver settings too. Not for beginners I guess.
