Saw these guys the other month in .Net I think and wondered if anyone had any experience?

With only just moving to meirhosting and the problems I have had, I am seriously thinking about getting my own dedicated server. I see that if you cough up on an annual basis, then it works out to be £29 per month, with unlimited bandwidth (with in reason I would imagine).

But £29 for your own server? That to me sounds a very good deal, almost too good. Any thoughts?

The price looks good but for the basic package I'd have a few concerns:

1. There is no backup of the data on your server.
2. The versions of software they have loaded are a bit old (unless that page on their website has not been updated) - i.e php 4.3 and mysql 3.23
3. Support is email only and limited to working hours.

I am going to check, as they are part of clara.net so would expect software to be up to date. As for backups, not too bothered as I do that myself anyway, but you have a very valid point about support........
