Thumbs down More Meirhosting Problems ?

Been checking my websites, and I've noticed the response times are slowly bu surely getting slower and slower. I have also created a new website, and am paying for PPC traffic to suffle visitors along.

Today, when checking my websites intermitently, I notice they sometimes load, and sometimes nothing is shown at all. When I say nothing I mean a blank screen, zilch, zero absolutely nothing at all

Other issues being reported to me are;
Warning: mysql_connect(): User myuser_name has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections in /home/mydir/public_html/includes/config.series.inc.php on line 6
Connection Error.

Now there is no errors at all with my coding, so what else can be causing this? I have asked Meir to investigate and to be honest and getting more and more dissillusioned by them as time goes by. 1 month I have been a customer, and so far I'm far from being satisfied. I appreciate the support maybe quick, and individuals are trying their hardest, but I am trying to run a business.

Grunt over

Maybe a good idea to try a 24/7 monitoring company. Then you know if its down or if its your ISP.

Most of them have a 30 day trial period.

  Tried and it was

Aqua - I used Clarkes testing site and it was Meirhosting problems

Guess what - its down again today. This really is becoming a joke now.

I am spending money with Google and sending people to website that doesnt even load up. Oh and not a word from Meirhosting either, and am unable to log a ticket with them to raise the issue as their own site is offline too. Shame as they came recommended and to be honest I have had nothing but disappointment from them on service front.

Fuming beyond belief here now

Hi Frostie,
Is this the UK server?

Must admit I found the cpanel very slow yesterday (have been out most of today - so haven't tested it)

Mark.

My site on the UK servers has been up and down this afternoon. Couldn't be accessed for an hour or so and since then has been getting some very odd SQL errors.

  Angry UK Servers

By the looks of it, it is the UK server again, the one that had a nightmare last time. Apparently, its due to a scrip that someone was running and so the server had hung and was rebooted.

Problem is the reboot took over 1hour and not only that, but now all of my websites are hit or miss - some are 90% completely back up, others are only 10% back up.

The bit I dont understand, if it was due to someone running a script, a reboot would sort it out. It appears that a restore is being carried out and therefore I am suspect as to the actual problem in the first case.

What hacked me off was I was spending money on Google, Overture etc etc so when this happens I am simply throwing money down the drain, and also missing out on some serious income. Its been happening since 3.30pm today.

Another Media - I would check ALL of your sites and check every page as mine are back in bits and bobs

  Down again

Appears all of my sites have been offline AGAIN since around 19:56 - what an effin joke!

Matt - you need to add some more smiles as there isnt one that expresses my bewilderment at such a bad service - something with eyes rolling, hair being pulled out and steam coming out of ears I think should do the trick!

Hi,
Strange, all our email seems to be fine on SV4?

I know they are planning around 30 mins downtime later this afternoon for maintenance.

Mark.
