flexible shared / or low-cost dedicated

Can anyone recomment a provider that allows you to modify the PHP build? Currently using bigwetfish.co.uk but dont think they have this flexibility as they are resellers.

Alternativley a good value dedicated ~ £20 p/m would be interesting?

Thanks in advance

JK

I think you'd be VERY lucky to find a shared hosting package that lets you have any influence on the installed build of PHP.

You'd only find this service available on dedicated servers, the cheaper side of dedicated servers is if you get a root package where you have full control of the server, although if you cock something up, don't expect the hosting company to fix it for you, well, for free anyway.

The other option, which you'd be very lucky to fond for around £20 a month, is the fully managed dedicated servers offered by hosting companies, you tell them how you want the server set up, they do it for you, they maintain it for you etc. You just get the beneifts of having a dedicated server. Although these generaly go for, at the least, £100 a month, expect to pay more than that though.
