  Host with asp url-rewrite

Can anyone recommend a good reliable host what offers URL Re-writing for both asp and php

Im wanting to change the host for the website in my sig, the problem with the host i already have is that they dont offer the url re-writing which is essential for seo nowadays.

Cheers

Lee

Just for your information, URL re-writing is not a feature of either asp or php, its actually a module for Apache (mod_rewrite). As far as I'm aware.

Yes, sorry, what i should have said is a host with that module installed.

What i want is a host using MS IIS with something like the following installed.

you can use any host that will allow you to use ISAPI extension under IIS, lots of small companies will do it for you but don't advertise the fact so it's worth asking.

Just to point out url rewriting is a standard feature of asp.net, for this and other reasons it may well be time to start thinking of upgrading. ASP.net will do 99% of what you want out of the box, if you ever need a 3rd party component you can self install it - the host never needs to be involved.

I only wish my current host would do it, but ive already asked them and they wont :-(

Its a pitty because ive found them to be the most reliable host ive ever had and really dont want to to change.

My current host is www.discountasp.net

I think its something ill have to look into more closely, at the moment im not even sure what im really talking about :-))... im just fed up with being penalized for my URLs

Yes thats the technique.

I could provide you with a simple php solution if you want, but my asp skills are lacking I'm afraid.
