Just wondering how many of you guys are using Rackspace and roughly what your paying. Considering looking into getting a server from these guys but im always wary of switching providers. Its the age old 'better the devil you know'. Do they offer unlimited bandwidth or are they set in stone on allocations?
They don't do unlimited bandwidth AFIK but from the reports I hear about them they are the dogs danglies when it comes to uptime and customer support. We looked into switching to them when we had a few problems with our current host a fair while back (before we started an affiliate program), the reason we didn't switch is that we didn't want the hassle of swapping and downtime and then checking everything to make sure it worked ok again + the fact they were about 3 times more expensive that the dedicated server with our current host.
maybe in the future we will change over to them but not at the moment (all cash is tied up in stock at the mo)
