What has your experience with Clook UK been?

I have heard good things about Clook. However, their website doesn't look too professional and only has a Google PR of 2/Alexa 170,000, which doesn't give me much confidence. Also, all the fantastic service seems to be offered mainly by one person - Jim.

Anybody tried Clook? Experience?

Clook are excellent.

There are a few service staff now and service requests are dealt with very quickly (often within the hour) They are very quick on installing server updates and dealing with security issues.

I currently have a reseller account but will be moving up to a VPS soon

The reason its only a PR of 2 (clook.co.uk) is that they have only just moved the Uk site here, until recently everything was at clook.net (they also use clook.us and clook.info)

Yes, I have flatscreenforum.co.uk hosted there.

I have always had replies to my support enquiries in good time. I have no reason for complaints so far.

Their hosting is very competitive, and comes with decent stats, access to MySql Administrator tool, decent control panel. Overall, these guys seems pretty clued up in the php/MySql world. Also, they have a large number of auto-install scripts ready to go.

Hi,

Been with clook for almost a year now (VPS). Highly recommended - best host I've found so far and I've tried quite a few!

Support is very good, even out of hours like late on Sunday evenings.

Only four months with clook (1 UK /1 US) but certainly no complaints. Fast response to email and support tickets.

I will use them again.

I only joined them a couple of weeks ago. I had a question which I e-mailed in at 3.50 a.m. I took them a whole 10 minutes to reply - this has pretty well been the case with other questions I had (I always pester business when I join, mainly because I'm new and need help, but also it's handy to get an idea of what kind of service to expect).

So - I'm impressed so far.
(my old host, 1&1 took two weeks to reply to my last e-mail question)

Can I ask the people who've had support from Clook whether it has mainly from Jim? Every support query I've sent has been responded to by Jim. He's brilliant, but I wouldn't want to host sites with a company too dependent on one person.

(Ian, you are not allowed to respond. You should be using some Mexican or American host now that you've deserted us. Are you with www.clook.mx or something? )
