Host Gator anyone?

Need to host a load of smallish sites.

Host Gator look good and it's pay monthly with no setup charges.

Can anyone recommend them and are there any catches?

Have been with them for nearly 3 years, excellent service, very reliable.

Support is excellent via email and telephone, not too hot on live chat.

Prices are great especially with the $ rate at the moment, there are no hidden catches...

I would highly recommend them. I've been with them for nearly two years now. A little downtime now and again but nothing to worry about. No-one has 100% uptime anyway.

I signed up to them last week. What I do like is the live support on site an dnot havign to send off emails.

Also, if you enter "freetrial" when signing up you get the first month free (well $0.01)

have racked up about $5k with them over the years now on my personal projects. If they weren't up for the challenge they would have been dumped a long time ago.

Just an update others may find useful.

Had a couple of questions. Tried the online help - that was hard work.

Emailed support and the answers came back within 15 minutes.
A while later, had an email from support asking if everything was now OK.
Replied, thanking the guy and complementing him on his outstanding service.
Shortly after, received an email from his team leader thanking me for my comments.
