So Much Choice & Confusion
So here's my dilemma?
About a year ago I set up my first affiliate website. Through some online forum I set up hosting with bluehost.com in the States. I cannot fault their service. Everything I have ever needed from them, they provide.
So I've went and bought some new domain names in order to set up a new affiliate website. I was planning to just add this domain to my existing package as there's plenty of space... but they don't accept .co.uk domains, and my current one is .com
I feel my current website has been a bit of a practice run and now I'm getting serious!
I have bought a .co.uk domain and have done some research as to which is the best company to use. EUKhost seems to be a popular choice but they offer 6 (!) different types of hosting before you even break it down into bronze, silver, gold and platinum packages etc.
I have never dealt with anything outside of my current provider and terrified I pay money to a hosting company and then realise it doens't provide me with the tools I need. These being:
php5
mySQL and phpAdmin
cpanel
Cron Jobs
Email accounts
and stats viewer
Some advertising voucher codes would be good too.
Even the online help guy was trying to get me to purchase a Window VPS as he feels this would suit my needs. I've read about it - it sounds well complicated!
Even as far as the bandwidth I require is a mystery to me. It needs to carry hopefully up to about 200 visitors a day and enough to handle a large mySQL database. You guys have an idea about this kind of thing, affiliate sites I mean.
I just know what I have at the moment works... but it's incompatible for my new domain. lol
any tips? I'm lost!
