  Multiple Site Hosting

Hi Guys,

I am building up a catalogue of sites all hosted seperately and its costing me a small fortune. Can I get some recommendations on where I can have all my sites hosted within the same account as such. Ideally, it would be a method of purchasing perhaps 1GB of server and splitting the space between my sites - is that even possible? Sorry am a bit dumb when it comes to servers and hosting... hence why they are hosted everywhere at the moment and everytime I want a new site I get it with hosting elsewhere which seems dumb.

Thanks!

I used to be with servage hosting(well I still am but only for some small sites) they are great, you can't fault them for $6.45(about £3.20) a month, you get 510gb space and 5010 monthly bandwidth, more than anyone really needs thats why they can offer it, its shared hosting. The time that i ahve been with them the server has never gone down, you get a free domain, and can host unlimited domains and you get a load more just read there website Servage Hosting If you use this coupon you get an extra 25gb of storage CUST36094 and so do I, so everyones happy. They use a there own cpanel which i find easy to use, If you need any other help just pm me.

I'm in the same boat as you, buying domains and then hosting separately, so will be interested in what gets suggested.

The link in the previous post hosts in countries other than the UK. You are using a dot com for the site in your sig so using a US server might affect your ranking because of it's geographical location.

I am looking for package that will allow about 10-15 domains.

Another US host recommendation I'm afraid, but I use asmallorange.com and have had nothing but amazing service.

Note: Their customer-to-customer forum does have a fair few real amateurs on it now (it used to be just people with CLUE) however with the growth in customers the tech support team are expanding continually to match it and they know what they are talking about.

Often owner Tim Dor is online answering any queries and tickets too, personally I think they are a friendly bunch and very keen to help people.

You can have unlimited domains and sites on any of the shared hosting packages, even the tiny one for 25USD a YEAR.

[ If you do buy, my affy link is: A Small Orange ]

Also they do have two coupon discount levels, orange15 gets you 15% off an order and orange5 gets you a fixed 5 USD off - which is actually slightly better for those of us for whom the tiny plan is more than enough.

Feel free not to use affy link or thouse coupons (which I would also earn on), as my review above is based upon happy service, not commission, etc.

  Re: Multiple Site Hosting

What you want is a cPanel reseller account. They are not just for people who want to resell hosting. You should be able to find one that allows you to host unlimited domains. Each one is completely self contained, with its own space/bandwidth/email account restrictions (if you want) its own control panel, its own web stats etc.

I have a bunch of sites hosted on one such account at ivhosting.com in the USA which costs me $99 a year but I'm not very happy with them now and am thinking of switching, except that it is a hassle migrating one site never mind a dozen of them. I will probably go to hawkhost.com as they really seem to know their stuff and are still reasonably priced.

My main site tech-pro.net is at AlphaOmegaHosting on a standalone account. They do reseller accounts too but they are quite expensive.

Having said all that, if you are targeting UK customers with sites whose domains don't end in .uk you simply must use UK based web hosting. Fortunately the price of UK hosting these days compares quite favourably with US hosts, so price is no longer a factor in the decision to use US hosting.

  Re: Multiple Site Hosting

I have a VPS account with EUKHost which is exactly what you want, about £190 a year and you can use it if you want to sell on any of the space to clients/mates. The support is really good, they'll talk you through what you need on a live chat system which gets answered in seconds usually.

I buy my domains through 123-reg then change the nameserver details to EUKHost's ones.

Think the servers are based in Maidenhead? Definitely in the UK anyway. You can get cheaper in the US, but you'll suffer on speed and SEO if your audiences are in the UK

I would also recommend a2b2.com - also at BlueSquare datacentre in Maidenhead - I have a VPS with them and a free reseller account which they gave me when I ordered the VPS

You can host multiple website under shared hosting account but we recommend reseller/vps hosting for multiple websites b'coz you can easily manage your websites and each website will have its individual control panel.
