Streamline?

Does anyone use Streamline.net - The home of good value web hosting ? Im looking at moving my sites over to them, UK based and seem good value..

I used them a few times when I first started out, but I wouldn't again!

Their main hosting isn't too bad and my sites have never, to my knowlege, gone down.

BUT - if you're looking to use any databases like mysql then steer clear. All their servers are oversubscribed and this makes things like blogs quite slow. I've tried to speak to tech support but they deny any problems..... However, this is just my experience of them. Most of my stuff has now been moved off them.

I'd get a reseller account - search the forum as there are some good threads on this - if you're looking at a few sites.

I had a single site hosted with them back in 2004. No database required and it was fine. Problems started when I decided I wanted to upgrade. After adding a database and a forum the site became plagued with performance problems and sql timeouts. Their support is hopelessly impersonal and frustrating. If you are serious about your affiliate endevours I'd look elsewhere

Avoid Streamline like the plague. Simply the worst host I've dealt with in 8 years of using web hosts. Non standard server set ups, cut and paste support, atrocious uptime, and that was just for starters. Bad, bad, bad.

Thanks guys, Had a read around and think ill be going for uk united hosting.

I currently host with hostagtor who have been great but I think it's important seo wise to get some uk hosting now.

Yea I'd have to agree, they are terrible. Scripts don't work, customer services are dreadful, and god forbid if you want to move a domain.

Defo one to avoid. They used to be fairly decent but it all went downhill rapidly
