Have you set the site up on your server? If you have then its probably a 404 given by your server.

Like a lot of folks, I buy domains from 123 and then direct the Name Servers to my own host. Usually I don't do this until I've actually built the site. So when you type in the domain you get sent to the 123 default page and then after a day or less it goes to my new site.
However, in an effort to be ultra efficient I registered a domain and then changed the Name servers as soon as I could.
Now when I type in the domain I don't get a default page for either 123 or my host, just a not found error!
Is this just because the domain is in temporary 'Neverland' between the two hosts or have I boobed?
It's 16 hours since the change by the way
thanks

Just set the site up at the host whose nameservers you pointed at and you should be good to go. If you haven't set the site up at the host you won't necessarily get a default holding page from the host.

yeah, that makes sense.
Cheers
edit: Yup, that was it. Added the site and it went straight to a new holding page!
Thanks again
