This is the first of our monthly affiliate newsletters aimed at keeping you up to date on all our sales promotions and activities. Since launching the program just over six weeks ago we have welcomed an impressive number of affiliates onto the program. Our top performing affiliate (you know who you are) has exceeded all expectations by providing us with our single largest order to date among the orders they have brought in so far.

What's New?

The second half of last month saw the addition of over ten new products. These include two budget chess boards that well and truly defy the cost to quality ratio, ebonized versions of the highly popular Downhead Chess men & some fine luxury chess boards.

The biggest product launch last month was the Old English Elite Staunton chess men at £249. We are delighted to be the sole UK retailer of these fine chess pieces, a brand new design from the third generation of the worlds most renowned family of chess set designers. A unique gift of extreme quality that is produced in tiny quantities thus adding to it's exclusivity.

This Months Affiliate Cash Incentive.

Beginning this month we will be launching a £100 prize draw cash incentive to our affiliates. Entry into the draw requires one or both of the following to be completed and submitted to us by March 15th 2009.

1. A dedicated landing page on your website or blog that is devoted to the Regency Chess Company, our products and services. Promotional copy for your landing pages can be found here.
2. A prominent banner placement on your homepage. Banners are available to affiliates through their Webgains control panel.

Simply email a url of the landing page or your home page to julian@regencychess.co.uk by March 15th and your entry will be added to the draw. The draw will be made on April the 16th 2009, a condition of entry is that the homepage banner or dedicated page is published and accessible to your visitors for the entire period between March 15th 2009 and April 15th 2009.

The draw will take place at random and the winner announced in our May newsletter. Payment will be made to the winner in the form of Cheque, Paypal, or bank wire (bank wire is UK only), Which ever method is preferred.
This prize draw incentive is open to all affiliates both new and existing. You will need to be a member of Webgains and signed up to the program to enter.

Commissions & Cookies.

Our commission remains at 8% with a 10% rate for affiliates who generate more than ten sales per month. Our cookie length remains at 365 days. Our average basket value is currently still hovering around the £45 - £50 mark but is rising steadily as we add more and more products with higher price points.

By the end of 2009 we expect to have tripled the product range and extended our range to include products greater in value than £1000. Watch this space for updates on average basket values as they rise.

We have started compiling a selection of marketing copy aimed at promoting our website and products to customers. This copy can be accessed here and is available for publishing by any member of our affiliate network. Use this valuable resource to build pages and content about us and promote the program.
