Thread: Oyyy - no sales recorded, but sales made?

    Hi,

    We're recording plenty of clicks to Oyyy an I know of at least one sale, but there are no sales listed on Webgains since we signed up. The user paid via Google Checkout - is this a known issue?

    I'm promoting a few products on Oyyy and hope I'm not wasting my time?

    Hi Colin,

    I suspect that the webgains tracking code is triggered on the merchants checkout complete page - payments via google checkout would never hit this page.

    It is possible (although not a trivial task) to have google trigger whatever tacking code you like at the end of the payment process, but I guess the merchant hasn't done so.

    I guess it's also possible that they're manually reconciling google checkout orders & batch uploading them to webgains.

    This is very inaccurate - GC allows for 3rd party tracking to be integrated and we have integrated plenty of merchants - we have very detailed instructions on how to insert our code on GC.

    Merchants are requested to consult with us prior to making any changes to their checkout, or if they plan to add any additional payment gateways, so we can test the tracking. Unfortunately, things go amiss sometimes.

    Colin, could you please raise a ticket through the system with any order details you have, and in the mean time, we'll test the checkout and liaise with the merchant.

    Hi Colin,

    I have just tested the Google Checkout tracking on the Oyyy site. It all worked fine and as such i cannot replicate your problem. Please could you open a support ticket on the Webgains system, once you have received the order information from the customer so that i can investigate this for you.
