Data feed issues - is this common?

Greetings All,

I've just downloaded a datafeed for Cadbury Gifts Direct, Green & Blacks & Montezuma's

Here are a few of the problems I've encountered :-

Invalid html code
Random special characters
Incorrect encoding of ampersands in deeplinks (some but not all strangely)
A product description that is simply ' A '.


Now presumably, the feeds are generated by an automated process.
Also presumably, I'm not the first person to use them.
I have to ask therefore - how come they've never been fixed?
Am I really the first person to discover these issues?

Hi,
thanks for pointing these out, we will bring them up to the merchants again.

A couple of things:
Please raise a ticket when you come across problems or have questions - it will give us the opportunity to track things and have reference points. Plus, we monitor tickets 24/7, so we will pick them up faster. The forum isn't really the place for troubleshooting

Second - feeds are created and controlled by the merchants. If the merchants are not actioning the problems we bring up to them, the problems just continue on. If we were able to fix these from our side, we would.
