Mostly happy with Webgains since joining them. Liking the interface, liking the impressions total of adverts, ease of finding programs etc

Bit of a thumbs up for the support though. On the whole it is good, depending on who you get to answer you and what your problem is.

I've asked them to get in touch with three companies and ask if the companies can do a creative for me and link to a certain section of their website. Granted, one of the creatives and link to section would be awkward cos the only way to pull the exact page up is to search for the word and nothing stays in the url bar relating to search. I asked this on 16 july when I joined WG and am still waiting for Mr X to go and ask. I've tried emailing one person direct (the contact for the program) and havent even had a reply from him either.

I've left the programs for now, just so I can keep track of which ones I'm waiting for answer about and which ones are on my website

I did apply for two programs the same day and was waiting three weeks for those to get approved or rejected. Eventually I put a ticket in for one of them saying "can you reject this one please" and that got them both rejected.

I do have a few questions as well, just things I've noticed that Im left going "eh?" about.

When you join a network (ie, Ireland and USA), how come you cant leave that network ? I only wanted to see the programs and are stuck with them now. Same with programs, the two I rejected and a couple I chose to leave are still in the my programs bit.

Why doesnt the UK network have the same affiliate scheme as USA ? UK's program is "bring us new merchants" yet USA have the "refer affiliates to us etc". If I join the USA program and people join through it, do they join the USA scheme and then have to become a member of UK network ? If people join, how does the "pay on all sales" work ? Do I get paid in GBP or USD for them earning me money ?

..(I think thats it for now)

    Hi there,

Thank you for the positive feedback regarding out interface and the usability of our control panel.

I would like to apologies for the communication breakdown between you and one of my colleagues in the account management team. If you could email me the details and I will look into this personally and come back to you with an update (my email address is sachin@webgains.com).

With regards to the length of time you had to wait to be approved/declined on those program, where merchants have manual affiliate approval, we do rely on them to approve/decline affiliates on their program unless they have given the AM managing the program to approve affiliates. We do prompt merchants on a regular basis to ensure affiliates applications are dealt with in a timely manor.

The way in which our system has been created means that once you join one of our international platforms, you are unable to leave it. If you wish to only view merchants within a specific network, this can be done via the search program facility in the affiliate control panel.

We have two referral schemes in place; one in the US which is an affiliate referral scheme and in the UK a merchant referral scheme. Payment for commissions generated on our platform would be made in the local currency of the platform (i.e. UK commission would be paid in GBP, US commission would be paid in USD).

I hope this answers your questions. If you have any further questions or need any help, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can get hold of me by email (as above) or by msn on sachin@webgains.

    Cheers,
    Sachin Thanki
