FYI:

There has been some concern over CD WOW! "sale leakage points" and we have been working with CD WOW! to remove some of the sale leakage points to improve conversions. Fax and Cheque payment option have been removed for Webgains affiliate traffic ONLY. This means that all transactions that come from Webgains affiliates must be tracked through the 3 payment gateways available to the customer. No orders are taken by phone.

The affiliate links on the home page are under contract to remain there but CD WOW! will review this upon contract renewal.

I'm confident that these changes will help all Webgains affiliates conversion rates on the CDWOW! affiliate program

Well done for getting them to do something i know other networks that really have given them **** over issues like that and they never seem to get past it. You have to watch them too, like check that the sales tracking tag on checkout isnt generated by javascript like they tried to do with one company.

When i last counted CDWOW's leakage points on the site i found more than 21 different affiliations, when it comes to the affiliate channel they should decided whether they are merchants or affiliates.

Well done webgains but i dont think this is the end of this, im sure the leakage will be rampant for much longer!!

Just wanted to let you all know that CD WOW have now implemented the removal of the affiliate ads down the left hand side of their website for Webgains affiliate traffic. This is another small step that CD WOW have made to address the affiliate concerns that have been expressed in the past.

There are still some leakage points but it is a step in the right direction for their affiliate marketing campaign and should help with your conversion rate.
