Webgains is one of the first European/UK networks to be listed on our site.
Webgains has jumped in with nothing to hide.
I'd like to thank Ryan and his team for working with us on this.

I haven't been using Webgains for long but I have been impressed with the interface and the helpfulness of staff.

Just wanted to say that the WebGains Ad Creator is the best out there. It's fully controllable and very easy to use, top marks. Other networks are a nightmare and I'm beginning to give up on them.
I'd like more clothing merchants if possible.
One other thing with the Ad Creator which would be good is an automatic Top Seller template kind of thing. So I can get this template, redesign it to fit my site and then you (or the merchant) automatically populate it with that week/month's top sellers. Doing it by category might be good too, eg. best selling shoes this month from the merchants I've joined. This would allow me to add more content to my sites and not have to maintain it at all. Could be done with Newest Items, Sale Items, etc.
i have had to open 3 or 4 support tickets with webgains this year (2 or 3 of them were probably due to my lack of knowledge) but they have all been resolved within hours. What fantastic support you guys give and am starting to use yourselves more than the other networks now so keep up the good work!

Great support. My only gripe is the lack of decent invoice reports on advertisers.
Let me explain:
On tradedoubler say, you can see in "Account balance breakdown report", exactly what is going on with invoices, which have been paid, which are overdue.
On webgains, it's a mess (Has been for me anyway). I noticed a while ago there were transactions from November that hadn't been paid - support ticket, and they said it was a glitch, and promptly they got paid.
But it's still really hard to see when things will be paid, and to weigh up risk - eg how overdue are advertiser X... should I push them more, or pull back?
If I look at my account balance breakdown in webgains, there are transactions for lightspeed+getmeaticket from last july (As far as I'm aware the agency didn't pay, and it doesn't look like I'll see that money). Also there are transactions with a commission of 0 - aparently brochure requests etc, which are green light to pay out, but they just sit there month after month. My balance is becoming less and less meaningful with all this mess in it.
Webgains have done a great job, but I think this is one area they're failing with. I simply can't log into webgains, and get an idea of where my balance stands with regards to what advertisers have paid, what advertisers will never pay, etc etc.
I want to login, and see "Ah advertiser X has paid their April invoice already. I'll promote them a bit more. Oooo advertiser Y hasn't paid their February invoice yet. Think I'll remove their links for now."
I also missed this thead until today. I met Sachin on the Thames boat trip and his enthusiasm encouraged me to run more Webgains programs and ALL the staff are really helpful and accessible via MSN if you need a quick fix. Highly recommended.

Same here, I've had Ryan help out on the weekends when he was meant to be 'off duty', Hero is one of the hardest working people in the industry (and that's saying something) and I wanted to give Andrew a job before you buggers got him.
A few reporting things I've mentioned before would be nice to see from POV of an incentive site, but pretty minor to be honest and most reporting stuff that gets asked for gets done fairly quickly.
Keep it up, a really good start.
Yep, first time I have seen this thread also. However would like to add my comments as its been bumped.
A great network to work with, I would recommend anyone who has not signed up - to sign up. You will find that their response rate for most problems are great. And more than that they are alot more proactive in the area I work with, ie discount vouchers.
The team there at webgains (you know who you are ) are more than happy to try to get things sorted between me and me advertisers.
It would be helpful to drill down the reports a little more like has been said though.
Excellent service from the webgains crew
Just wish you had more merchants to promote![]()
Andrew Clapham - Fashion Blogger.
It would be great if you could put in a search box to find merchants.
Hi,
there is a search facility available: Programs-->Search programs and you can specify your keywords and the variables you want to search by
Thank you all for your feedback, it is most helpful; all is taken onboard and we will be looking into all the issues you raise. Some of them (finance) we have already been working on and obviously, Andrew, getting more merchants onboard is a daily task :-)
Please, keep your requests & feedback coming
Thanks
