What do you think of webgains?

Thanks to all our affiliates for your support during our first year - as we approach our first anniversary we are very keen to get your feedback on how we could improve the webgains network. Before we created webgains, we talked to a large number of merchants and affiliates to help us in building the right sort of network, and as we continue to grow rapidly we are all extremely keen to ensure that our development is based around what helps you grow your business.

We welcome all suggestions regarding our platform, our service and anything else that you would like to see changed. If you don't currently use webgains, is there anything we could do to encourage you to do so. Top reasons for using us are weekly payments, cookieless tracking, extended datafeeds, real-time notification of sales and auto-validation of commissions.

Perhaps there are additional features you would like to see or changes to existing features. Maybe you would like to see us focus on recruiting more merchants in a particular sector. Maybe you would like ways to make it easier to integrate datafeeds or find links?

We have heaps of ideas for new services but want to ensure that we grow in the way that is best for you.

Please either post your comments here, phone us on 020 7808 7890, or you can get me via email or msn messenger (peter@webgains.com).

We look forward to all comments, positive and negative.

Thanks

Can you explain to me the positives of cookieless tracking. Am I right in thinking this is the same as a single session cookie? If so, what are the advantages for affiliates?

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

Cookieless tracking allows tracking of sales for users who have cookies switched off or blocked (eg, large companies). For an affiliate this means more commission. According to a Jupiter report last year, up to 39% of users delete cookies at some stage. If the cookie isn't there then the affiliate doesn't get a commission.

Our cookieless tracking means that even if the user deletes cookies, we are still able to detect if a user clicked through one of your links and thus pay you a commission.

If you'd like to know more about how it works, please don't hesitate to contact me.

You can read Jupiter's report at http://www.jupitermedia.com/corporat...presearch.html

I've dealt with Ryan and he's been incredibly helpful, super-efficient (I'm sure he's got some German blood). Hero is also very friendly. It's a great network and congratulations on your first anniversary.

  Big Thumbs Up

What a fantastic first year you have had!

I held off working with you as I wanted to see how things were going for a while but once I bit the bullet the experience has been fantastic!

All you need now are more merchants especially on the electronics side.

Good luck for the future, not that you'll need it!

Will second that, great team. Look forward to start doing some traffic through you sometime soon.

I know this is my little pet grouch but if anyone has links on networks where the network only offers cookie tracking then move your links to webgains. It WILL make you more money, you would be suprised what the odd few pence here and there makes in this game.

You have made a great start, but please remember to be consistent. How many networks were once great?

Keep up the good work!

I have always dealt with Ryan and he is very helpful and efficient, especially with some complex YesAsia links.

I like the Webgains interface and find it fast and easy to use. Plus they always pay on time which is great!

Would like to see some big name merchants come on board.

A great start IMHO. .
