Ouch! £2 only? Is it me of have commissions for credit cards gone down the pan lately? And before anyonw says anything I know this isn't an actual "credit card".

Anyway, I own a credit card site but I really don't think I can be bothered to go through all the hassle of building new pages and adding this new product into tables etc. All for the sake of £2 commission.

Couldn't they do better than this?

    Hi Kieron,
I feel your pain. What you have to remember is that prepaid cards have excellent market potential but the keyword here is "potential".

Before I provide you with a bit of marketing spiel about the "potential" market (its in my contract that I must ) let me just give you an idea of what the £2 CPA represents

A credit card company provides you with a CPA ranging between £7.50 - £20. You direct traffic to them. 3 million people were rejected for a credit card in the last 6 months alone (figures on moneyexpert) and the majority of that rejection is 25-34. Compare that with the Splash Plastic Prepaid Card which has an approval rate of 98% in the last 7 years.

So the question really is, how much traffic, how many sales do you need to send to a credit card company to reach the "promised land" and how does that compare with a prepaid card?

....and now for the spiel about who you can target with a prepaid card

Splash Plastic™ has numerous uses as:
    • an Everyday convenience card for those who
    • don’t have a bank account and need a home for their money
    • are newcomers to the UK, don’t have a credit rating and need plastic
    • are going abroad and prefer to carry cash on a card

  4. an Online Internet Payment Card for those who
  5. wish to shop online but don’t have plastic
  6. are worried about online fraud
  7. feel that online shopping is subject to potential fraud

  • the funky Tweenage (10-13 years) Card for those who
  • are 10 years or over and want their own card
  • want to take control of their spending. Where, When & How – they decide!
  • are parents and want to give their “tweenagers” the confidence to spend

  • the Online Gaming card for those who want to
  • indulge in the latest gaming online
  • limit their financial exposure by not using their credit card
  • protect their identity online
  • the Payroll card for those
  • employee’s who want their wages to be paid on a card and save cheque cashing fees
  • employer’s who want to pay their staff using a card instead of cash/cheque

  • Thats that for now!! No more spiel!

Hope you are convinced ....we certainly are as we have built our business on this belief. You may also know that we have created and manage the prepaid card/gift card programmes for Debenhams, Ticketmaster, Mirror Group Newspapers, Comet, RFU, Western Union, Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, etc (have a look at www.prepaytec.com)

All the nest and give me a shout if you have any further questions.

    Cheers
