We’re pleased to let you know that Crave Maternity have lifted the restriction on direct affiliate ppc for their program. Affiliates are now able to link directly to the crave maternity website from paid listings on search engines.

The program has switched to a restricted ppc policy, with the brand name not allowed to be used as a keyword, which was part of the previous policy.

The new ppc policy is now as follows:
Please do not bid on the Crave Maternity name or any variations of the name such as Crave, Crave Maternity. This includes any variations and misspellings.
Please refrain from using competitor names to send traffic to the Crave Maternity website.
Please refrain from registering similar urls to use in your affiliate promotions without the merchant’s consent.

The program currently operates on an average conversion rate of 2.21% and £0.32 EPC.
To remind you, Crave Maternity pay up to 15% commission on a 60 day cookie.
Frequent email templates are made available in the account, focusing on Crave Maternity’s pregnant celebrity customers. The latest one is on Charlotte Church’s style, click here to view the template.

We hope the new ppc policy will help you with your promotions further.

Any questions on the program, please give me a shout
    thanks

As you know I don't do a lot of ppc so ppc restrictions don't really bother me but I'm puzzled why they don't want to let affiliates bid on their brand name when

    a) as far as I can see they are not bidding on their brand name themselves
    and
    b) when you search for crave maternity in Google the ppc ads are dominated by their competitors

Surely it would be better for their affiliates to dominate that space rather than their competitors?
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.

    Hi Keith,
To my knowledge, the terms are trademarked so any competitors' ads should be removed.
I'll bring this up with the merchant to get their view, thanks for pointing it out.
