Hi again,
The Book People have given me the following reason for the site downtime from last Friday morning:
"Regarding the error experienced last Friday morning, this was caused by an issue with the cache replication, which caused one of our servers to hold and this generated deadlock through the site. This was identified straight away, and the server was brought down to allow the others to work.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience. Anyone already on the sites would have been fine and able to browse and buy, but new connections weren't being accepted for that short period."
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries relating to this matter.
