CD-WOW! outstanding commissions paid by Webgains

Hi all,

I just wanted to give you an update on the CD-WOW! situation from last year. As many of you know CD-WOW! were slapped with a huge fine which forced them into administration. A new company with no liability for previous debts has been formed to continue the business but large amounts of affiliate commissions which we had not received payment for have been pending since this occurred.

We've now ascertained that we are unlikely to receive payment for the amounts owed to us from the administration process. As such we have paid all the outstanding commissions from the period from our own funds as a gesture of goodwill towards our affiliates.

That goodwill gesture will stick in my mind, especially when I'm choosing which network to put links up for programs like CD-Wow running on more than one network.
Will be interesting to see if any of the other networks (which was most of them) follow suit.
