    Hi,

    I already completed my website to promote Tesco Diet. Until I noticed this morning that (in the program description), they does not allowed PPC on their program.....

    I want to get some opinions from affiliates, on what other methods/approaches I should used beside PPC since they don't allow it? I know some people will mention SEO, but I don't really wish to do that......is there any other options?

    Any comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Well if you have your own website, you should be ok.

    Although you can't do PPC direct to their site, or mention Tesco diets specifically in the advert, you can do a generic advert leading people to your website. If they then click through to Tesco and sign up you should get the commission.

    Obviously do SEO optimisation as well, as the more sources of traffic the better.

    All right.....this is what I am doing now. I done my home page writing specify on tesco diet. So what I really need is just when writing ads without tesco description......I am just confused when I read the description, as they noted "ppc not allowed in this program" and also their keyword policy is "closed keyword policy". I think I am completely misunderstanding the whole description. Thanks for your clarification......cheer

    Just don't bid on 'ediets' 'tesco diets' or anything using the word 'tesco' for that matter and you should be ok.

    In all honesty its a hard market to get into with PPC. Although there is a nice bounty for both eDiets and weightwatchers I would start with longtail stuff until you get a few leads then start narrowing down your keywords and perhaps increasing you bids.

    Hi,

    As already stated, the program doesn't allow the use of their brand name or url, however you can still use generic terms to drive traffic via PPC to your website.

    Apologies if the program description is not clear. A closed PPC policy means that affiliates cannot use PPC to drive traffic directly to the merchant website (so no use of the url). For this program you also can't use the term Tesco or Tesco eDiets and any variations of those as keywords.
