Just curious to know if Webgains have an opinion on affiliate links appearing in Google Base - seeing quite a few lately for the merchants I promote and it's obviously frustrating when you try to stick to the rules. Is it something you allow? Or is it up to the merchant?

Hiya,
Google base does not allow direct linking to merchant sites through affiliate tracking. What they do however allow is affiliates advertising their sites which the customer will visit and then click through to specific merchant pages.
Affiliates should not be listing in GB with direct links to the merchant; GB will remove their listings eitherway as it's clearly stated in their Ts & Cs.
