I receive the email they send out with their special offers, which is great.

I get the email in OUtlook Express, But because it is one big graphic containing the link I can't right click and get the properties - it just asks me if I want to save the image and doesn't give me the link to copy. So I have to click reply then view the actual source of the email then have to find the link that I must use!

Can anybody tell me an easier way of getting the deep link I have to use?

I'm not sure it will track sales for the affiliate however, with that "emc" parameter on the end. It would be great to receive confirmation on this.

No - apparently that does not track as I have asked that before. You, need the hidden url that is within the email. You see it in the status bar at the bottom when you hover over the image

I am able to view the source of the email and don't see any other URL.
(I'm assuming you know how to build a WebGains deeplink using the URL I provided above).

Sorry - me being a bit dim here - I thought you meant you just used that url! :blush

Yes, sorry that's what I meant.

One thing I noticed with the email links however is that they also append "&source=webgains" onto the end whereas the deeplink generator in the WebGains interface doesn't add this for My Beauty Secrets.

Would be great if anyone at WebGains could confirm whether this is required for sales to track.

just to point out that if you have questions, the fastest way to get answers is to either raise a support ticket through your account, or use the "contact us" form from the website, or get hold of anyone of us on msn, or contact support@ on email or msn - as I'm sure you appreciate, the forum isn't the best place for troubleshooting and for quick support queries.

Regarding the emails from the merchant - the emc is the offer parameter which will add the offer automatically in the customer's basket when they click through. If you use the url, you will see a pop up window informing you that the offer has been activated.

All links to a merchant need to go through the webgains tracking link for the cookie to be dropped and the activity to be tracked and reported. So, you just need to stick the url at the wgtarget: http://track.webgains.com/click.html....aspx?emc=SEP7

The source=webgains parameter is addded automatically by our system after the redirect - you don't need to be adding any extra parameters anywhere, it's taken care of. This parameter is used by the merchant to identify our traffic and remove the order line for the affiliate visitors.

I had originally asked this question with a support ticket and they advised me to look at the source of the email, I just wondered if anybody else knew a better way

I think Affilitiy's way is probably quicker, and as you say that is ok shall do that in future
