New Year, New Start!

Start-london.com is the e-commerce site from the East London based Start boutiques. Situated in the heart of Shoreditch, Start is a labour of love for owners Philip Start (former founder of Woodhouse) and Brix Smith-Start. Originally a stand-alone boutique on Rivington Street, the Start name has rapidly expanded since opening in 2002.

With lots of exciting projects to come in 2009, they’re launching pop up sites within our main site from the end of February, starting with Mother of Pearl, Damian Hirst’s wife Maia’s fashion project. A luxury sportswear line for women, Maia is influenced by her sporty, surfer lifestyle. Recently featured in Harpers Bazaar, Mother of Pearl is the new label to know.

For SS09 Start will also be add to their roster of incredible labels:

ALSO we have the style guru Brix Smith-Start, co-owner of the Start Empire, staring with Gok Wan on the Channel 4 show ‘Gok’s Fashion Fix’ showing in March.
