Informal (back to basics)
Formal (try to look posh)
Somewhere in between
Hi all,
No its not quite that time of year again...yet. Its still a little cold to be out on the links holing 50ft putts (I wish). However, this year we've decided to kick things off a little earlier and we would really appreciate your input.
Our last 2 golf days have both been great days out and, we hope, enjoyed by all who came along. However, they were very different affairs in terms of facilities, catering etc.
In 2007 we held our golf day at a small local club which allowed us to pretty much do our own thing. It was a very informal day, with all of us filling up on bacon rolls before trying to look like tiger woods. After the round, it was simple food, a lot of banter and cold beer.
In 2008, we moved the event to the Hampton Court Palace Golf Club, a much more upmarket venue. The facilities were better, the course was great and again a good time was had by all. However, the more formal meal after the game and the nature of playing at a big busy club also impacted on the speed at which we had to play and people's ability to talk sociably in the club house afterwards.
So...
We'd like to know which one you'd prefer. Do we go for formal or informal, upmarket or local club? Naturally we thought "A4U poll"
Please pick which one you think you'd prefer and we'll look at all the results when we're planning the day.
Oh and we're starting to plan soon so please could you vote by 30 January :tup
Thanks a million and hope to see you at this years event.
Cheers
Andy
