Hi all
Just wondered if anyone has or does affiliate to GTModels
Had a look, site looks good but no info on any of their models
had 300 clicks on a site i use for a similar niche which does well and no sales via their site , anyone else had any luck?
Shame as they have some good models
Cheers
Rob

Yeah totally
not sure how they must be going as a business
If they get info on their for thier items they would do so well as the diecast for starters is a good niche
Rob
Diecast is a bit of a collectors / enthusiasts area and they'll know the models anyway.
Perhaps that's why there's not much detail.
Is anyone sending visitors from for example a classic car niche site ? Would have thought that would convert reasonably if the prices are right.
Certainly in motorsport, there's not a lot to say. If you want Ayton Sennas F1 ride from whatever year, you know what it is anyway. I'll see how I get on with some niche links from rallying.
i am doing ppc and getting 10/10 quality score on most keywords, I really like the site. Perhaps there might be tracking issues at different stages of the site. As you say it's niche, a good site. Yes needs better descriptions but it should be converting better.
Perhaps the network can look into it more thoroughly to tracking & cart.
I ll move this thread to the Webgains section as it's one of their merchants.

Do any of the networks run routine tracking checks via dummy / refundable purchases at all, or only if a merchant is flagged as possibly having a problem ?
Would put affiliate minds at rest ie. one action by a network would save multiple affiliates a lot of time / worry.
400 clicks now and nothing lol
ah well, ile move on
shame
Rob
one negative aspect is maybe requesting password for new or existing customers , with checkout process being more fluid, i ve seen worse but they convert ok.

Convert ok? was that on a test you just did?
I was aiming at mostly their remote control cars but im swaying more on diecast now
Grand Prix Legends look ok to site wise
Rob
Hi guys,
Sorry for not coming back to you sooner on this, i've just come across this post.
I'm the account manager looking after the GT Models program on Webgains. Conversion has always been an issue with the program which has been fed back to GTM. They're in the process of updating the purchase process as well as other aspects of the site.
With regards to tracking, our code is present at all times with transactions being recorded on a daily basis. I've tested the sites on numerous occasions and the tracking has been present. So i would like to assure you that from a tracking perspective, all is ok.
I'll be feeding back the lack of product description back to GTM and will ask them to try and get this resolved as soon as possible.
I'll keep you all posted on developments with GTM.
Cheers,

Rob: Grand Prix Legends is a good site with an extensive range of products. They're converting well.
I'm also the account manager for Grand Prix Legends on Webgains, if you need anything give me a shout.

Excellent to hear
Id be interested in promoting both diecast and their nitro cars once they have descriptions
Even the manufacturers descriptions would be better than nothing. SEO wise the pages aren't doing them any justice
I did email them but didnt get a reply back. Unfortunatly ive taken them off my site now which gets 300 visitors a day (not diecast) but once the info is on, i will put them back on again.
Look forward to the info being added
Rob
Edit: Cheers Sachin,. just saw your post as i posted mine. Will affiliate to them v shortly...
I know Andy's been overloaded as he runs their shop as well as look after all aspects of the site. But i'll ask him to get the Nitro & diecast cars done first to allow you to get these listed.

Hey guys,
Andy from GT Models here, im sorry there have been no descriptions in the R/C catergory lately, I am just working on something to updated them for you.
Ill post on this thread as soon as its ready.
Conversion is something we are trying to improve, we have a new website which is hopefully a lot easier to use and includes features such as checkout as guest etc. If you PM me your IP addresses I can add you to the allow list if you would like to have a peak and give us some feedback.
When Ive sorted the descriptions out, we will be running a R/C products based competition, so keep an eye out for that.
PM me if you have any other questions/queries.
Andy.
