  Fraudsters exposed!

I am writing to let people know about the UKBanners banner exchange. They run a number of country and subject-specific banner exchanges.

I won't go into a long ramble, but I believe most of the people using the exchange are fraudsters. The ridiculously low number of clicks than users received was discussed extensively on the company's messageboard until it was closed down. We have now emailed them about it several times over six months, but have had no response, which leads me to believe that the company running the exchange is somehow involved in, at the very least, turning a blind eye to fraudulent webmasters.

Here are our stats. on the usbanners.com exchange:

Banners shown on our site: 15000 (approx.)
Our Banner's Exposures: 13484 (8:10 ratio of exchange)
Click Thru's: 3
Click Thru Ratio: 0.02%

Yes, we have had only three clickthrus in return for the 15,000 banners we have shown for US Banners over three years! That's one visitor a year!

In case anybody believes our banner may be at fault, it was created by a professional graphic designer and receives a far better click-through rate than 0.02% at other banner exchanges:

www.usbanners.com/cgi/gimme.cgi?image=B2121.gif

Obviously, we are going to show no more banners for this company, but I just thought I'd warn the other good folk at this forum so you don't get your fingers burnt too

Yikes, that was a recommendation. Have to make sure I get a load of extra free exposures now
