...or that's what people must think. On my shopping site I've got a very clear section saying I'm happy to include links to other sites as long as I get a link in return.
In the past 2 weeks I've had 5 (very short) e-mails from 5 different sites saying "please include a link to my site". So I look on their site and have they included a link to me? Have they f***ery. So I e-mail them back and say "please include my link and send me some details so I can include yours"... and nothing. Silence.

2 weeks ago I had 3 web sites mail me asking for a link... so I said yes.. and they put the links.. up only to remove my link 1 week later.
I mailed 1 and one of the web sites put the link back up.. the other 2 I decided deleted their links as they had bad PR and I wont put them back up because of their dirty tricks.
What bugs me is when people want to swap links but they have their links divided into so many categories and subcategories (all on different pages) that you link is totally buried negating any possible page rank benefit and making it virtually impossible for any visitor to find it either.
yup or just the front page, various nav buttons but...hang on...where's the link page...I know he had one cos he sent me an email with the link in place...ahh there it is
Others things to watch out for are link pages protected by robots.txt and links sections placed in i-frames (hyphen added 'cos it displayed as ***** !)
