free sms?

Anyone had any experience with this? If I can get this on my site then I'll definitely go the phone/pop culture route for my new venture... www.fonetastic.net/getfreesms.php White label sms sounds good to me!

Tried and got no reply from them, but I have seen it added to some sites reciently, so they probably just don't like me!

No you dont get to keep any of the demographic data.

Its also heavily loaded with advertising, which is what supports the free service, to the extent that its hard to work out what to do for all the text ads.

However it will bring people to your site, and if your lucky they will bookmark your site rather than the cobranded SMS bit, otherwise youll never actually benefit from the traffic other than having your url at the bottom of the text messages.

From what I've seen on some sites they have a version that runs from your server using PHP, still with ads mind, so if users bookmark that they will be in your site, after a fashion...

The version I use has total customisation so you can frame all their content within your site structure, but its still hosted by them.

Eseentially they allow you to create a page in the form

There are a few ads on the system, but it does go towards the cost, and there is allot of active users so doesn't push to many people away. The tell a friend system helps drive traffic back to your site, also the sms footers help drive traffic back to your site etc.

Its free so why not try it!

I've spoken to Steve Adams a number of times (now he IS a salesman) and he's never let me have any info. He usually wants to buy info from me.

Lowndsy, each site will be reviewed and a decsion taken on the look and feel of the site. Traffic has no major effect, as we all gotta start somewhere
