  On Exit Popups

Im thinking of using an "OnExit" popup banner.

Is anyone using them and are they effective? Also would google ban my adwords for using them ?

Yes, but don't use them on your homepage and only show 1 per visitor to your site. I have been trying it out and it's as good as free money however it's not got a great conversion, but still good enough to put an extra £340 in my pocket.

Don't ask me, as I am not strictly using an on-exit pop-up.. mine only go off if you click an external link so it kind of looks like the other site made it

People do report good results from pop unders but they truly are the work of the devil and one of the most irritating things on the net. I would never employ them on my merchant site.

Pop-ups are the devil, pop-unders are the assistant

I must admit to hating them myself but commercial wise they make good money. But I do have some rules when following, for example only 1 pop-under total per visit, and only when someone is deep inside the site and doing an action like leaving the site... morals on the issue, mmmmm no but it's less annoying and won't put people off your site.

And besides if they have spy ware installed they will be seeing pop-ups and unders on your site and think you done it anyway.

  What type?

If you simply want to display adverts as popunders and not target them (ie not TD, DGM2, AW etc) then Adviva are a good source.

I use them for my 468 banners at the top and this month have pretty good click thru's. The advertise companies such as Sky, BA, British Gas etc etc.

You simply create an account and select what type of advert - popup, popunder, 468 banner, flash overlays etc etc.

Payment is always on time, but you do have to invoice them first.

Frostie do people actually click on Adiva banners?

Like the only banners I see them show are First direct and that sky offer.. I know I average about 1 or two clicks per 5000 banner impressions for First direct..

Reason I ask is I signed up with Zencudo last week and they booted me of in a few hours cos I was making too many impressions and about 0.5 CTR.. basically no one was clicking on their banners cos they where naff (50 % of em where those addesigner.com thingies , whose gonna click on those?)

Anyway, Adiva offered me 20p PPC plus 40p CPM but I turned em down, lookin at there naff inventory they would probelly boot me of in a few hours anyway.

  Adviva

Ive had no problem with Adviva and usually get between 10-20 clicks per day. The advertisers I have seen over the last couple of days include;
First Direct, ESure, Sky, BA, Some Contact Lense Company, BTOpenworld, GetMinted.com, Tiscali

As for onexit popups, I have just received an email saying that at present they do not do them, due to the small demand from advertisers

As for zencudo, I got booted too because I never put their adverts on within 24 hours, so sod them! Interesting to know about zencudos adverts being addesigner.com, not exactly what I wanted to advertise so they did me a favour

Anyway thanks for telling me what Adviva offered you, I am off to complain to them <img src=http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies/contrib/ruinkai/biggthumpup.gif ALT=":thumb"> . Infact in my email I think I will invite them over here to the board as it is always good to get another bod in here.

Do they do pop-unders? How do we implement them? Our control panel just has options for pop-ups, banners, buttons and skyscraper ads.

And how much do they pay for a pop-under?

Aquanuke, I'd take 'em up if I was you. They are paying you far more than they do us. We get only 16p with no CPM
