Just recieved an email from penton media about isp's blocking mail to certain email prefixes which makes me concerned about our newsletters and won't just spammers do others like "webmaster@" here it is:
This is an IMPORTANT message to subscribers and advertisers of Penton

In July of 2003 most ISPs began blocking specific addresses from
delivery at the ISP level. These include:
info@
sales@
it@
marketing@
news@
You are receiving this message because you have subscribed to one of
our many e-newsletters or promotional materials using one of these
types of addresses. In order for you to once again receive our
email messages we need you to give us an alternate email address.
This may require you to have a new mailbox created or to add a new
email alias to your existing mailbox which receives the messages.
If you are no longer interested in receiving our newsletters or
promotional material then you do not need to take any action.
What do you need to do?
Please reply to this message and provide us with the new address in
the body of the message that you would like to use and click on SEND.
We will manually update the lists so please allow at least 48 hours
before looking for our mailing again. If you are unsure of which
publication you have subscribed to please feel free to send your
