  keyword tracking via ppc

If you send traffic direct to merchant via a subdomain that is redirected, will it pass the search term to the merchant as well?

The subdomain is in the destination url in adwords but this is redirected via the tracking link to the merchant.

thanks

If by "passing the search term through to the merchant" you mean "will the merchant be able to see the original search engine query string that triggered the ad", then basically the answer is yes.

Redirects almost always use the HTTP response code 302 (moved temporarily), which causes the browser to repeat the entire request - including the original referrer - to the new URL.
