Top Searched KeyWords List

Hi Guys

Can anyone recommend a good service for finding the top searched for keywords across the search engines.

We are looking to find which keywords and phrases are better than each other and to hopefully discover a few more we have not thought of (without having to do too much work!!)

Would prefer to find a simple upto date list, listing say 100,000 - 200,000 most popular words/phrases, so we can scan through and see what is generating the most searches within our field

Have looked at WordTracker.com - anyone suggest anyone else - the cheaper the better of course!

i'm not sure how useful that would be.. as a rule of thumb high volume terms are also highly competitive. so if you are looking for these smaller terms you have have overlooked, you probably won't find them on that kind of list. also if your content is not related to these terms - why bring people to your site?

my advice would be optimise for your high traffic terms and bulk out your content. once you have some backlinks and your site has some weight behind it, you will be naturally ranked for these other terms as your content comes up in natural search.

so if for instance you find a term you didnt think of in your stats, try optimising for that term - worked really well for me. keyword lists are also normally very out of date. one of the advantages of having a high traffic site is you can see shifts in search trends day by day over all engines. rather than resorting to months old keyword lists or info from a specific engine.

In our market our keyword would ultimately be 'Sky TV', but as its such a popular word and competitive market we are realistic in not focusing our efforts too much on that until we are higher rated ourselves....although we still use the term as much as possible.
