  Recycle your old stuff.

Admin/mods please delete if this is in appropriate for this section.

Hi

I have started a new site http://www.recycle.co.uk where instead of throwing your old items in landfills, skips etc you can put them on recycle.

My quetion is i am getting people registering but people are not posting i have been thinking of a way to get people posting etc.

Would a competition help this and does anyone have any ideas i can run as a competition. Or if anyone has other ideas i much much appreciate them.

thanks in advance.

ps.

i am having the site re-designed at the moment so hopefully the graphics will help.

Hi Laskos,

You're probably aware of freecycle (a similar idea to yours). The thing that I like about them is their daily digest email of what's available and what's been taken each day in my area.

To get people listing stuff I would suggest you get your friends and family to list stuff that they are getting rid of and then tell as many registered people as you can what is being taken.

I think this way people would realise that your site does work and that it is a really useful resource and then hopefully they'd start listing stuff themselves as well.

Hope this makes sense

PS Great domain name btw - I'm sure you'll do well - good luck.
