  Motorbike site for feedback

Hello,

I'm new to the A4U forum as I was told it was a really useful site (and they weren't wrong) now that I use affiliate programs.

I have just had my site redeveloped and was wondering what people thought about it www.sites4bikes.com.

Its designed to allow people to list items related to motorcyling.

I have a couple of specific questions around it:
1. I don't seem to get that many click throughs on the Google adsense - what can I do (if anything) to improve that
2. Though I have banners on the site I haven't had any sales through them - what is the best way to get people to actually click through?
3. My site is still in Google sand box - though it is spidered regularly, what more can I do to improve its visibility (other than the usual linking)? It is more a hobby than a full scale business so expensive banner ads etc are out.

Any feedback on the site would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

Nick

Personally I'd move the Adsense from the left hand column vertical where you've got it and put it horizontally within your content on the right hand side.

Banner clickthrough rates tend to be very low, as people get blind to banner ads - it's all a numbers game - if you get 10,000 visitors a day then 1% clickthrough = 100 clicks - if you only get 100 visitors a day.............. then its 1 click - so chance of a sale is very slim.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'll see what i can do about moving the adsense.

I'll also have to see what can be done about those banners and trying to get them working harder. Its a fair point though as I don't get much traffic yet, i can't expect much traffic through the banners.
