Hi Tom,

Nice work on the map mate, however, the layout is all over the shop on your London/New York page (index page) within Firefox.

Hmm just checked it in IE and it's a bit off in that too, unless that is the lok you were going for (which I doubt tbh).

Mark.

they are a bit more exacting than IE, if something works in those browsers it normally bullet proof in IE

It works now - sort of - ranged top left though, not a good look. Good luck with the NY map - Tokyo or Paris next?

It's very pretty. But what is the user benefit?

I can see how you benefit. I can see how an advertiser (might) benefit if they get clicks. But what is there here to make a user want to come to the site or ever come back? Therefore, ultimately, how will this work for the advertiser?

I'm not just having cheap shots here, I am genuinely interested. Have you considered apending genuinely useful information to each station (such as nearby shops and tourist attractions, timetables, etc etc) and even then would it really be a pull.

I take your point about it being cheap. In actual fact, it isn't cheap unless it generates a lot of traffic/business. One click at £14.99 isn't cheap. It is inexpensive - not quite the same.

Product extension - The Virtual Kitchen - picture of a kitchen where every appliance and item is sponsored by a relevant supplier of those items etc etc. That might at least make sense of the context.

However, really lovely illustration work! Site looks pretty.

Thanks for the comments - If anyone knows (hopefully you do, Renegade ) how to automatically rescale the site depending on the screen resolution, that would be great!

Anyway... Thanks for the comments. I personally believe £15 or even £50 for 6 months or 1 / 2 years is very very cheap advertising and is well worth it and I'm confident users will receive more than 1 click. I think if people are not prepared to take a chance for such a small price, then they obviously haven't a business worth advertising. But everyone is more than entitled to their opinion.

Thanks guys!

Totally agree. Please send me £50 and I will put a link to your site on one of mine. I will guarantee you 100 clicks for the money (do you offer a guarantee). Or you may not want to take a chance for such a small price? Then perhaps you haven't a business worth advertising?

I spent 15 years developing advertising strategy for clients and do understand the difference between value for money (where vfm=f: (cxq) by the way) and cheapness. I was trying to highlight the point that you might get more revenue if you could find a way to frame the benefits of your site in a way other than saying "well, it's not a lot of money".

The failure of that argument is proved by the fact that I am pretty certain you will not be sending me 50 quid. Spend some time thinking about the benefits advertisers will get and work them into your FAQ's - then you might sell even more ads.
