  Promoting a directory

I've just set up a basic UK directory at scarletpages.co.uk Bit of an experiment, but I'm making it free for the first month with no reciprocal links needed.

What I'd like to know is how big it'd have to get before some of the bulk submission services would be interested in including it? Surely this would massively speed up the rate that the directory builds at?

Any ideas how I'd set about convincing one of them to include me?

: The URL could not be validated. Either the page does not exist or the server cound not be contacted.Domain already exists in the selected category.

No it doesnt, I havent submitted it, and Ive checked and its not there, I wouldve listed my domains, but hey your listing thing is broken

Also the selecting a category thing is awkward due to the huge gaps in how youve put that vertical line symbol then a lot of underscores at the start, cant simply press a letter on your keypad to jump to a section beginning with that letter for listing in.

Digital Point is superb to get known straight away and on the bulk submission lists for a few. It's also great just to list your directory in all the new ones out there as well, before they become paid for.

There's also this semi-automated submission software that gets the plaudits and it seems to get a fair few submissions being on the list.

  Re: Promoting a directory

Thanks guys, new ones coming in at a rate of about 60 a day!

limboInternet, not sure what was up with your attempt, I just added another link of my own and it worked fine. Agree with the selection issue though, bit of a pain in the butt. It works better if you submit the link from within the category you want to be in. I'll see what I can do to improve it.

Still having problems with the SEO rewrites to the final detail pages also
