First dip into Search Engine Submission

I already host and manage a Traffic Website called Banner-Traffic.

I have now been playing around with a Search Engine Submission Site and would like some feedback if possible. I am no expert and would describe my web design skills as "Experimental", bordering on "What happens if I do this"!!

I have tried to make this site bold and bright so it grabs your attention, which can be handy when submitting into traffic sites. I have incorporated some Affiliate banners in keeping with site, runs on paypal and just added some basic meta tags.

My main questions are:

Do you recommend writing a meta tag for each individual page or just for the index?

Is it worth adding the Google Site Map? to maximize search engine inclusion? or is this just a myth?

Personally, I think Search Engine Submission is a waste of time for the most part. If your site has relevant links from other websites the search engines will pick it up without it being submitted. Most of the search engines you submit to give too little traffic to be bothered about.

Look at your site in Firefox. I am seeing huge whitespace in the main table. Might be worth sorting that out fairly sharpish as your actual content effectively starts almost "below the fold".

meta tags : Always

google site maps: generally their good for large sites since youve only got a few pages i wouldnt bother.

you cant say "Search listings in Google will show up in Yahoo as well, " because thats not true

erm since when has dmoz been a search engine? its a directory

big white space showing still in FF

and goto agree about the usefulness of se submission theres only 3 that you need to do the rest are either powered by them or a complete waste of time and if your sites listed in google then other search engines will follow
