Hi guys;
My first post. Its great to be here.
Spent all yesterday reading whilst waiting for my account to be "moderated" and activated. How frustrating was that? Anyway..
Around 14 months ago I set off on a course which a lot of you guys will have steered yourselves through. Namely, setting up a website for a niche market, (very niche in this instance), creating lots of content for it, and watching it climb up the google rankings.
Whilst this method takes time, there's no doubting how well it works, and to date all I have spent on my website is $30 for a piece of software and a fiver for the domain name.
On the back on my writing, on December 27th I became an accredited Google News source, for which I built a "
PR" type website under a sub-domain of my original domain.
Now any material posted to this
PR portal is immediately indexed (or certainly within an hour), and depending on the quality of the writing, can expect to be found on Google News within an hour or two.
The point of this ramble?
To invite you to use my PR portal.
Its currently absolutely free to use and if I'm sitting in front of my PC when you submit your article, it will be "published" from my news queue straight away.
Depending on the topic your press should be 'findable' on Google News within 20-30 minutes. Outside office hours you can expect to wait until morning unless by prior agreement (writing for different time-zones etc).
If you are confident in your writing abilities, its a great way of getting people to your website, and it costs you nothing.
I admit, the "genre" could put some people off, but it works particularly well with eco or enviro based websites. But you are free to use it no matter what your genre.
Over the coming months as more and more people use it for more generic press releases, I'll drift it away from its current topic, into a more mainstream position.
If you do your own writing, feel free to sign up and post your free press.
Free, immediate and a great method of creating publicity for your website.
pr.cannazine.co.uk - (no laws were/are broken in the creation of this website - 100% legal in the UK, appealing to a niche market of approx. 4 million people)
