Will swap traffic for freebies

Does anyone have any ideas on where's the best place to give away some high value freebies (wii's, ipods etc.) for decent traffic?

Can I get a 1 second URL display on a daytime TV show, or should I be aiming at putting a competition on my own site?

Ideas will be gratefully received...

My view would be to put a competition on your site firstly as it's pretty high traffic if it's the one in your signature link.. Maybe announce it somehow through social sites?

Then think about using some of the freebies as ways to entice high profile bloggers into talking about you - Similar to what Shoemoney (love him or hate him) does with the t-shirts.

Not sure how much TV advertising cost's? Couldn't be a lot if off-peak on the smaller channels.

Just do a test run with a smaller number of your freebies to try it out - then larger bang when you see what works.

From all measures - the direct TV to traffic drive is smaller than most people expect. Just alot fewer people rush to type in a URL these days after seeing it on TV. If you want traffic only - You are better off doing something online - on your own site - or on anothers.

TV is still better as an awareness & branding play.

Just put them on Craigslist.org in the area of "freebies" Many people will get it.
