POP UPs & Cookies

Just wondering, if I create a popup for a merchant that opens a DGM2 Affiliate link... will the cookie still get placed even though it came from a pop-up window.

Im thinking: person clicks my link from google. He sees my site and thinks what a load of crap :P but the pop-ups already opened and the cookies been placed.. ?

Or do they have to click the link ?

BTW: For guys that use popups how much higher is the conversion.. than without using them ?

To answer your question: yes. Whether your visitors go to a DGM2 (or other network) merchant in the same window or a pop-up, it will still kick start the cookie.

But I wouldn't bet on a person 'happening' to visit the site again without being prompted. There are literally millions of sites out there.

It is more than likely they'll visit a merchant through another affiliate link and therefore any sales would be tagged to them.
