is there a way in oscommerce to charge delivery based on total weight of an order.

i.e.

upto 100g x amount
100g to 200g another ammount etc

If you are just using one zone for shipping take a look at the table rate module which I think is included in the default installation.

If you are shipping to other areas (eg international) then use the zone rate module which you may have to download from contributions.
