Shopping Cart Software ?

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the best place for this question so apologies if it's not.

A friend of mine who currently runs a clothing website is interested in opening a bricks and mortar store. One of the problems he has found is getting a shopping cart system that will integrate with his store till.

Basic requirement is for stock control really but importing customer details and orders etc would obviousely be a great help.

I have had a look around for him but only found USA based systems.

Does anyone know of a shopping cart with back office integration that you can buy off the shelf that doesn't cost the earth ??

I'd advise Cactushop.com.

I used this when I built moviepostersdirect.com

Rough costs are:

- £200 one off cart licence fee
- £200 a year hosting (advised as the cart requires a lot of server side processing that will be dog slow on shared server hosting).

If you want the cart to process payments to your own processing station then you may want to put in a further £100+ or so to setup the secure order delivery service (basically a secure way of orders being sent to the store owner).

The cart is fully compatible with many CC processors too of which I used Worldpay with great success.
