  FTP Limit on file uploads?

Hi

I have a site with about 2600 pages. I am able to load them OK to my site. However, when I come to update some of the pages, I am only able to see the first 2000.

I have used IE, SmartFTP and FTPServer but they all only stop at a 2000 page limit. I cannot find anything about limits on the internet. Can anyone tell me if this is the case with all applications?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  server configuration

You will probably find that it is a server configuration, if the file upload completely then it is fine, however you may find there is a node limit (the amount of files you can have on the server)

2000 strikes me as very low, but likely when it comes to cheap or free hosting

I may be wrong but certainly it is a configuration setting of some kind on the server

Hi pricethat

I can actually see all 2600 pages on the web but I have to load them in by small batches.

When I come to upload amendments I only get to see the first 2000.

I will check the limit that's set.

Thanks very much for your help.

Well with C Panel your in luck. Simply ZIP up all your pages with a free program like CAM ZIP, then upload the package to the directory you wish to use and then click on the extract button to unzip your package on the server!

I have only just started doing uploads this way and it really saves a lot of time. I can now upload 5000 pages in about 15mins instead of hours.

Thanks Pete

I will try that, it does take a long time to upload all the pages. Time is something I'm sure we are all short of. Any way of saving a little time is always useful.

I appreciate your help.
